Lone Tree Endodontist Dr. Andrew Stubbs is a graduate of the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. After completing his dental degree in 2005, he returned to complete an advanced two year endodontic residency.
After dental school graduation, he served ten years in the United States Navy and completed a General Practice Residency(GPR) at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital. While completing his GPR, Dr. Stubbs spent years as a Navy dentist in California and South Carolina. In South Carolina, he practiced dentistry at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot on Parris Island, which was one of the highlights of his career. As a child, Dr. Stubbs lived on Parris Island when his father served in the military, and he loved returning to treat the Marines he adored as a child.
Dr. Stubbs lives in Parker, Colorado, with his wife, Kierra, and four children. He enjoys playing board games, spending Saturdays at wrestling meets, and snowboarding with his wife and children.
Dr. Andrew Stubbs believes strongly in the importance of continuing education and earned a fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. Attaining a fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry requires completing hundreds of hours of continuing education and passing a comprehensive exam. Dr. Stubbs is one of only 7 percent of dentists who have achieved this honor.
Using advanced techniques in oral sedation and laughing gas, he is able to provide much needed care in a dental office setting. He also works closely with a team of nurse anesthetists to provide IV sedation to patients with severe dental anxiety. Dr. Stubbs has a passion for helping patients with dental anxiety receive the care that they deserve.
At Brigham Young University, Dr. Stubbs completed his undergraduate degree in chemical engineering with an emphasis in environmental engineering—and eco-dentistry is an important part of his dental philosophy. Applying this knowledge, he incorporates environmentally-friendly principles in every aspect of root canal treatment, including: dental materials, sterilization processes, dental operations, office construction and furnishing, energy consumption, office administration, water usage, and recycling.
Dr. Andrew Stubbs is a Lone Tree endodontics specialist and concentrates his dental practice on saving teeth through endodontic treatment. All dentists are trained in diagnosis and basic endodontic treatment, however, some teeth can be especially difficult to diagnose and treat. Endodontic specialists are uniquely trained to handle the most difficult root canal cases. Dr. Stubbs was nominated as a Top Lone Tree Endodontist in 5280 Magazine!
In addition to dental school, endodontists receive two or more years of advanced education in endodontic treatments. During residency, endodontists study root canal techniques and procedures in great detail. Because of this advanced training, many dentists choose to refer their patients to endodontists for these procedures.
Dr. Andrew Stubbs is a Lone Tree endodontist who cares for his community. He is a leader in the dental community in treating underserved populations, and Dr. Stubbs reserves a significant portion of his practice each month to insure that the most vulnerable community members have access to quality root canal specialist care.
Dr. Stubbs also contributes to local dental charities—including the Dental Lifeline Network—by volunteering his root canal talents. The Dental Lifeline Networks helps pair needy patients with dentists willing to provide free services. To qualify as a Dental Lifeline patient, applicants must lack adequate income to pay for dental services, have a permanent disability, be elderly, or qualify as medically fragile.
